ABOUT VOM ARCHBOLD GERMAN SHEPHERDS

Breeding Excellence with Royal Elegance

Welcome to Vom Archbold German Shepherds, a dedicated German Shepherd breeding program located in Yorkville, Illinois.

For us, the German Shepherd is much more than a beautiful breed. It represents a remarkable combination of intelligence, loyalty, elegance, athleticism, courage and devotion to the family.

Our goal at Vom Archbold is to preserve and celebrate these qualities while thoughtfully raising German Shepherds with exceptional pedigrees, sound structure, beautiful expression and stable, loving temperaments.

OUR STORY

Our passion for dogs, animals and the German Shepherd breed has developed through many years of experience, observation, learning and hands-on involvement.

At Vom Archbold, we believe that responsible breeding requires looking beyond appearance. A beautiful pedigree is important, but it is only part of the picture.

We consider the whole dog — structure, movement, health, temperament, intelligence, character and the qualities that make a German Shepherd a wonderful companion and family member.

OUR BREEDING PHILOSOPHY

We carefully select our breeding dogs with the goal of producing puppies that combine the qualities we value most:

Beauty. Structure. Intelligence. Temperament. Health. Character.

Our program emphasizes respected West German Show Line bloodlines, carefully selected pedigrees and responsible attention to available health information.

We believe every breeding should have a purpose and every puppy deserves an excellent beginning.

RAISING OUR PUPPIES

The first weeks of a puppy's life are incredibly important.

Our puppies are raised with extensive human interaction and age-appropriate socialization. We introduce them to everyday household experiences and encourage positive, confident responses to new people, sounds and environments.

We also incorporate enrichment experiences such as classical music, gentle handling, grooming, early training and positive interaction into our puppy-development program.

Every puppy is an individual.

We observe developing personalities and temperaments so that we can help each family make an informed decision when choosing a puppy.

HEALTH & PEDIGREE

We believe prospective puppy families deserve transparency and meaningful information about the dogs behind their puppy.

Depending on the individual breeding dog, available documentation may include hip and elbow evaluations, DM testing, DNA information, veterinary examinations, AKC registration and pedigree records.

We encourage families to ask questions, review available documentation and make an informed decision when selecting their German Shepherd.

OUR PUPPY FAMILIES

When a Vom Archbold puppy leaves our home, our relationship with that family does not simply end.

We want our puppies to become cherished members of their families for many years to come.

We are available to provide guidance and support as our puppies grow — from early feeding and training questions to the many joys and challenges of living with a German Shepherd.

Our greatest compliment is hearing from our new puppy parents and seeing the beautiful lives our dogs become part of.
